The Sadberk Hanim Museum

The Sadberk Hanim Museum is the first private museum in Istanbul. It is located in the Buyukdere district and was initially opened in 1980 to display the personal collection of Sadberk Koc, the wife of Vehbi Koc. The museum is housed in two extraordinary 19th-century buildings. Later on, Hussein Kocabaş, one of the biggest collectors in Turkey, also donated his personal collection to the museum. The museum’s collection, which initially consisted of three thousand pieces, now has over ten thousand pieces and has become one of the must-visit places in Istanbul.

The Sogukcesme Building

In the Sogukcesme building, you can see ancient artifacts from Anatolian civilizations from the prehistoric era to the end of the Byzantine period. There are also Islamic artworks, especially from the Ottoman era, Ottoman garments, artworks from Europe, the Far East, and the Middle East, and more.
