State of Decay 2’s Next Big Update: Making the Game World More Dangerous

State of Decay 2's Next Big Update: Making the Game World More Dangerous

About five and a half years ago, the awesome folks at Undead Labs released State of Decay 2, a super cool game where you get to kill zombies in an open-world adventure. You can build a base and gather survivors to help you survive. And guess what? The developers are still supporting the game and have a big update coming soon!

The Curveball Update

The Curveball update for State of Decay 2 is set to release on September 18 this year. It’s been in testing since July, and now it’s ready to roll out globally. This update is going to bring some exciting changes and improvements to the game. In a blog post by Undead Labs back in July, they revealed that the Curveball update will make the post-apocalyptic world even more chaotic and dangerous than before.

Random Events

One of the cool things about the Curveball update is that players will encounter random events while playing. These events can be challenging, but they also come with valuable rewards. So, if you don’t ignore the event and complete the challenge, you’ll get some awesome rewards. The catch is, you won’t know how difficult the challenge will be until you face it. There are three categories of events: main, secondary, and recurring. Each event can affect your character, your base, the people in your base, and even the behavior of the zombies.
